In 1979, Baga was a sleepy fishing village and Cavala was a small place with a big heart. Four decades on, the village has grown up around us — but the welcome hasn't changed.

We're family-run and proudly old-school. We believe a good holiday is made of simple things: a comfortable room, a home-cooked meal, a cold drink, a bit of music, and people who remember your name. Our restaurant guards recipes that are older than most of our guests, our bar has hosted more Friday nights than we can count, and our rooms have sent thousands of travellers home a little happier.

Cavala means something to the people who've stayed here — and that's the whole point. Come as a guest; leave as a friend.
